Que buen nombre por mi mare… Realmente ser parte de algo así y vivirlo en carne propia te llena de esperanza y de posibilidades… Participar de esta carrera en “Central Park” de Nueva York el pasado junio en la que casi 7mil personas comparten la buena onda de vivir de forma INCLUSIVA, junto a más de 500 personas con discapacidad, es increíble.
Realmente ha sido una experiencia única y no puedo estar más que agradecido con Achilles (http://www.achillesinternational.org/) por invitarme a participar y, claro, por fomentar la inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad (PDC) a través del deporte.
La buena vibra de la gente se sentía por todos lados e inclusive antes de la carrera. Tan solo con verte con el polo de Achilles la gente en la calle ya te decía “buen trabajo”. Lo cual refleja no solo la magnitud del evento sino también el compromiso de toda la ciudad por fomentar la inclusión. Lo mismo antes, durante y después de la carrera… “Buen trabajo”… por todos lados.
Espero que poco a poco esta onda de “esperanza y posibilidad” haya creciendo en nuestra ciudad y me alegra ser parte de este cambio, con lo vivido y ahora con lo que cuento, para que cada día más personas sepan que las PCD podemos lograr todo lo que queremos y sólo falta que las demás personas (sin discapacidad) se den cuenta de ello, nos dejen ser, confíen, y se contagien un poco de la “esperanza y posibilidad” que podemos darles a diario.

Hell of a name… Being part of something like this and living it by yourself definitely fill you with hope and possibilities. Being part of this race last June in Central Park, New York City, with other 7000 people sharing an inclusive life style, among other 500 disabled people, is awesome.
It has truly been an unique experience and I am more than thankful with Achilles (http://www.achillesinternational.org/) for the invitation and, of course, for promoting the inclusion of disabled people through sports.
I felt the good vibes everywhere even before the race. Just seeing you with Achilles shirt people on the street told you “good job”. That shows how big the race was and how much people are commited with inclusion. It was the same before, during and after the race… “good job”… everywhere.
I hope this “hope and possibility” mood grows in Perú little by little and I am glad to be part of it, living and sharing it now, and showing others that disabled people can achieve whatever we want, we just need others (without disabilities) to realize it, let us be, trust us, and be touched with a little “hope and possibility” that we can bring to their lives.
